Scope is for the conversation you can't ask anymore: the one that's gone too long and answers past you, the one that drifts, the one you closed weeks ago, the one someone else sent you as a link. It's cooked. It's done answering.

The content is still in there. That's what we go get.

The rule: we only pull out what's actually in the conversation. If it isn't in there, we tell you — we never make it up.

Questions

Why not just ask ChatGPT to summarize it? +

If the chat still answers you — do exactly that. It has the whole thread in front of it and it will beat us. We're not going to pretend otherwise.

Scope exists for the chat that doesn't answer properly anymore: it's too long, it's drifting, it contradicts itself, it forgot what you settled 80 messages ago. Or you simply closed it, or it's someone else's link. The conversation is finished — but what you need is still in it. That's the moment we're for.

Can I even share a conversation that's this cooked? +

Yes. Answering and sharing are two separate things: sharing takes a snapshot of the messages already stored — it doesn't ask the AI to think. A conversation too long to produce a decent answer still produces a share link.

What if what I ask for isn't in the conversation? +

We say so, plainly. We don't fill the gap, we don't complete, we don't "improve". Scope only pulls out what is actually in there — that rule matters most exactly where a made-up line would do damage: health, money, legal, medical. If it isn't in the conversation, it doesn't come out of Scope.

How do I get a share link? +

ChatGPT: open your chat → ⋯ menu at the top-right of the chat title → Share → Create link → Copy. (A single-message chatgpt.com/s/… link won't work; you need chatgpt.com/share/….)

Claude: open your chat → Share → ⚠️ select “Anyone with the link” (required) → Share link → Copy.

Is my conversation stored? +

No. A share link is fetched once through our server to read the conversation, and its content is sent once to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce your extract — then discarded. Never stored, never used for training. A copy stays in your own browser (on your device only, never sent to us) for 24 hours so a reload doesn't lose it — clearing it removes it immediately.

What's the difference with the handoff? +

A handoff is written for an AI: you paste it into a fresh chat and the work continues. An extract is written for you: it's the content itself, out of the conversation and in your hands. Same cooked chat, two different exits.

Do I need an account? +

No signup, no card.

Does the result work with any AI — even Gemini? +

Yes. What we produce is plain text — paste it into any AI, not just the one you came from: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, anything. (To start, paste a link for ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral, or the conversation text from anywhere else.)
